DRIES VAN NOTEN
I love me some prints.

I don't think I'd be able to pull this off, but I love the heel. Too bad the shot is ruined by unshaved legs.

Returning.

So yesterday, I went and got myself the Lanvin x H&M trench coat with the fur trim and the men's coat with gold buttons. After talking to my sister, I think I'm going to return the trench, just cause $2990 is waaaay too much money for it. Plus, it's one month's allowance for me. Anyways, here are some photos.

It was super stringy at the bottom of the trench. Made my legs itch so much when i was trying it on.

Going to go tomorrow sometime to return the trench. Still debating on the men's coat. Hmm.

Totally unexpected

Just went to Diamond Hill to have dinner and do some shopping. As I was passing H&M and going up the escalator to the food court, I caught a glimpse of the Lanvin for H&M floral patterned dress. Immediately, my friend and I went back down the escalator and ran for the rack!

The only things left were two floral patterned dresses, a blazer, a trench with the fur trim, faux fur coat and the puffed sleeve black dress.

This coat was $2990 and size 32. Normally I wear 36 for coats, since I have wider shoulders but it seemed to fit okay. I decided to just go for it and so I bought it. I have 7 days to decide if I want to return it. After getting it, I decided to go for dinner and go back to H&M after. Had to get the jacket before someone else did!

I think it was size 38 or 40 that was left.

Same as this one. Size 38 or 40 I think.

Didn't look that great in real life. I don't know, just not my style.

I think this one was 38 too.

I might also have seen a girl holding the gold dress, but I didn't see it on the rack and that was my second time into H&M when I saw her holding it by the rack.

And of course, all the accessories were sold out except for these shoes.

In the men's section, there were three coats, a dress shirt, cardigan, and trousers.

Bought this coat for my dad. Hopefully a size 50 will fit him and he'll like it. Kinda plain. Still deciding..

I think these trousers had a little buckle thing at the back of the trousers, can't find another pair on the H&M website that looked like the ones I saw.

The dress shirt.

Took some pics of the trench & jacket I got, will post later.

If anyone is still looking for some Lanvin for H&M, then go now to Diamond Hill's Plaza Hollywood!

Lanvin for H&M Fashion Show

Just watched the H&M Fashion Show Short Film video on nitro:licious. She has a lot of posts related to H&M, so check them out here if you haven't already! Natasha Poly is looking fierce. I love the speech bubbles, they're so cute.

I'm loving the dresses. Too bad it's a week day and there will probably be a buttload of people and they'll also probably be expensive, and I just spent $1000 this weekend! (post on vintage shopping later, lazy me!)

Lanvin Lovin

Mmm. Loving the different colors, fabrics and textures, from the pleating to the flowyness of the dresses to the sleekness of the zipper dress. The collection reads tough but soft, powerful yet elegant.

Lanvin for H&M - video

Saw this through Nitrolicious and I thought it was so cute :D

Seriously can't wait for this collection. Maybe I'll actually be willing to splurge and get something, unlike for the other designer collabs that H&M have had.

Lanvin for H&M!!

I'm sure everyone is aware of all the designer collaborations with the street fashion labels. Well, I've just read that Lanvin will be designing womenswear and menswear for H&M this fall! According to the H&M press report,

H&M is proud to announce that its next designer collaboration will be with Lanvin, one of the most influential brands of the 21st century. Designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, the collection will go on sale on November 23 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide. The collection of both womenswear and menswear will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store, making the launch of Lanvin for H&M among the most anticipated fashion events of the year.

“H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.” Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin.

“We are thrilled about Lanvin’s collection for H&M, it is such an exciting moment. Lanvin will bring to H&M a luxurious French tradition that is also modern and playful. It is very much a Lanvin collection, using their cut and tailoring, with lots of focus on form and details for both women and men. The launch in November is going to be full of wonderful surprises.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

Since joining Lanvin as artistic director in 2001, Alber Elbaz has transformed the Paris-based label, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, into a fashion powerhouse bursting with ideas and creativity. Alber Elbaz has pioneered there some of the biggest trends of the past decade - ribbon, bows, pearls, raw edges, sumptuous colour and metallic embellishment among many others. Alber Elbaz has a mastery of cut and an instinct for cloth which leaves a very personal signature on his work, ensuring that all Lanvin clothes are instantly recognizable. Since the introduction of a new menswear line in 2006, Alber Elbaz has also transformed the male wardrobe, bringing a relaxed elegance to men’s clothing which is as special as the womenswear.

Lanvin is the latest brand to collaborate with H&M, with previous collections designed by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons and Sonia Rykiel. In a new twist, the Lanvin for H&M collection will be revealed to the world through a special film which will be launched on November 2. The film will be available for all to see online at
www.hm.com. Following the film’s debut, it will be just three weeks before customers have the chance to get their hands on a covetable piece of Lanvin for H&M.

Can't wait to see this collaboration! H&M has had quite a few of these collaborations and I thought the Sonia Rykiel one was a bit of a bore, but I've always had a thing for Lanvin. However, the pieces will probably be at least HK$1000 for something decent, but it will still be nice to see what they will come up with!

Lovin Lanvin.

Those wigs kinda scare me. But other than that, would love to wear one of these dresses. They look sexy, yet still make a girl or woman look powerful.

Shoes from Vogue China

Flipping through Chinese Vogue featuring the lovely Anna Selezneva, I fell in love with some shoes.

When Blogger is unblocked (using a proxy to update makes everything harder!), maybe I'll post the spread on Anna Selezneva. Maybe.
